Capital Projects: What We Build Matters

The projects listed below were completed in FY23-24.

Project Description

This project design takes into consideration the community and lands through which it passes to fill sidewalk gaps along the south side of the roadway and facilitate bicycling along Tigard Street from Gallo Ave to the Fanno Creek trailhead/bridge crossing so that pedestrians and bicyclists will no longer be forced to share the roadway in the vehicle travel lane.

FUNDING SOURCE: Parks System Development Charges (SDC) Fund

OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE COSTS: A small impact from constructing additional concrete trail to maintain. 

WHY IT’S NEEDED: The multiuse pathway provides a portion of the Summer Creek Trail identified in the city’s Trails Plan, connecting neighborhoods to the existing Fanno Creek Greenway Trail network.
