Park Update

The porch swings have been removed and are undergoing a transformation to stabilize these seats for comfort and safety. We will be re-purposing existing materials in the design of the new stationary benches. In the meantime, temporary tables and chairs have been added for additional seating options so you can continue to enjoy all the Plaza has to offer. 

Park Description

A community gathering spot along the Fanno Creek Trail in the heart of downtown Tigard.

Future Park Improvements

Universal Plaza Phase II is currently unfunded, however design elements include a community room, an overhead canopy to provide shelter from the elements as well as built-in seating near the water feature.

History

Universal Plaza, located in Downtown Tigard, features the community’s most requested amenity ­- an interactive water feature and splash pad. Universal Plaza is ADA friendly, walkable, healthy and accessible to everyone!  The Phase 1 grand opening was held on Saturday, April 15, 2023. Phase 2 (unfunded) will construct an overhead canopy for shade in the summer and shelter in the winter.
