- Invested $1 million for Family Promise of Tualatin Valley to purchase the former Quality Inn. As part of a joint funding effort between Tigard, Washington County, and the State of Oregon, Family Promise purchased the former Inn and transformed it into shelter for 70 families. This shelter is the largest family shelter and domestic violence support shelter in the Washington County.
- Created rules about where, when and how community members can camp outside. Here's more information about the ordinance.
- Created 24-hour restroom availability by adding porta-potties at City Hall, the Library, and Tigard’s Public Works building.
- Established the Business Sustainability Fund in partnership with the Tigard Chamber of Commerce. These reimbursement funds are being used to offset the costs for upgrades to safety and security systems and provide an opportunity for businesses to access local resources and dollars for trainings and audits.
- Created and distributed resource cards for local non-profits and officers that list where community members can find shelter, food, clothing, and other services.
