Memorial Books

The Tigard Library welcomes donations to purchase memorial books in honor of friends and relatives who have passed away. Donors may specify purchases for the Adult, Young Adult or Children's collections and request a particular area of interest. Library staff can also recommend appropriate titles or subject areas.

A memorial bookplate with the names of both the person to be honored and the donor will be placed in the books. The donor may remain anonymous if he/she wishes. If the donor consents, designated family and friends of the deceased will be notified of the gift.

Gift Books

Looking for a unique way to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, graduation or other special occasion? Consider making a contribution to purchase a gift book for the Library in honor of a friend or loved one. 

You may request for a book to be purchased for an area of interest within the library collection. A librarian will select a title based on your request!

A bookplate will be placed in the book(s) with the names of both the person being honored and the donor or the donor may remain anonymous. At the donor's request, designated family and friends will be notified of the gift.

Donor envelopes and donation forms are available at the Tigard Public Library, online (Donation Form), or you may contact us and we'll be happy to mail one to you.
