The Building Division reviews residential and commercial building plans, issues building permits and inspects construction projects to certify compliance with state and local codes. The division is managed by the building official and is comprised of plans examiners, inspectors, permit technicians and support staff.

Staff is available to complete permits, planning applications, and design reviews online, through email and by phone/voicemail. All phone calls will be sent directly to voicemail with calls returned from a restricted number.

Please submit your application materials at the Permit Center lobby, Mon-Thurs from 8 a.m - 5 p.m. Inspections will continue to be scheduled online.

*PLEASE NOTE: Due to an increased demand for services, please expect longer wait times for responses to emails, voice messages and building inspections. In the meantime, please view this quick guide on how to submit common service requests.

We are pleased to offer online permit services, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our online services allow you to apply for specific building permits*, pay permit fees, schedule inspections, submit code violation complaints or search permit and complaint records.

*Only valid licensed professionals may register for a user account and apply for the following permit types:

  • Commercial – Electrical
  • Commercial – Electrical Limited Energy
  • Residential – Electrical
  • Residential – Electrical Limited Energy
  • Residential – Mechanical
  • Residential – Plumbing 

Solar permits (structural and electrical) must be submitted together either in person or physically mailed in.
