During the 97th Annual Conference, the League of Oregon Cities (LOC) presented its 2022 Good Governance Award to the City of Tigard for its Public Safety Advisory committee.
Public Safety Advisory Board | Final Report

The Public Safety Advisory Board was resolved on June 27, 2022 after 72 hours of meetings over 18 months. A final report on the Board’s accomplishments is available now.
The creation of a Public Safety Advisory Board is one idea that grew from community input and Council discussion in response to the killing of George Floyd. This limited-duration Board reviewed public safety practices, with similar community input and draft frameworks anticipated for all other areas of city operations.
