Tigard Parks & Rec Mission

4th Annual Egg Hunt
Saturday, April 20, 2019
Small colorful eggs

  • Children ages 0-10 are welcome to participate. Come to Cook Park and meet the bunny, do crafts, face paint and enter a drawing to win prizes. 
  • BYOB: Bring your own basket!
  • On-line registration: $3
  • Day-of registration: $5; space is limited.

This event will occur rain or shine. Times below are tentative and maybe shifted to accommodate children's needs.  

  • Check In | Registration: 9 a.m.
  • 0-3 years: 10 a.m. | 4-6 years: 10:20 a.m. | 7-10 years: 10:40 a.m.

Dirksen Nature Park Camas FestivalCamas Plant

Come and celebrate Tigard’s premier nature park! Learn more about the local significance of the camas flower while it’s in bloom, take a tour to find brass sculptures of local wildlife, and enjoy the recently completed oak savanna overlook, nature play area and more. Also see plans for upcoming construction of more amenities in the park and improvements to the Fanno Creek Regional Trail.

Concert in the Park

  • Wed | August 7 | Petty Fever | 5-8:30 p.m., music starts at 6:30 p.m. | Cook Park 
    Join Tigard Parks & Rec and Petty Fever for an evening of fun, music and high– energy dancing. Petty Fever delivers an amazing and memorable tribute to the musical legacy of Tom Petty. Be prepared to hear some of your favorite hits such as, Free Falling, Breakdown, American Girl and I Won’t Back Down. This will be a night you won’t want to miss!
  • Wed | August 21 | Johnny Limbo and the Lugnuts | 5-8:30 p.m., music starts at 6:30 p.m. | Cook Park 
    Join Tigard Parks & Rec and Johnny Limbo and the Lugnuts for an evening of fun, music and dancing. Their show is a toe–tappin’ tour of the Golden Era of Rock and Roll as they play tributes to legendary artists Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, the Beatles and the Beach Boys. “Rock and Roll will never die and the Lugnuts are the reason why.”

Sponsorship and Advertising Opportunities

  • Special Event Sponsorship: Community and business support allows the city to produce events for the entire community to enjoy. By sponsoring special events your business will be able to maximize exposure to city residents and highlight your value to the community. View details.
  • Advertising: Tigard Parks & Rec produces four guides per year that have room to advertise. All guides are posted online and the summer guides are printed and distributed to every residential household. View details.

Financial Assistance Scholarships

Tigard Parks & Rec has a scholarship program to provide financial assistance for qualified participants. Scholarships will partially cover the cost of recreation program events or activities. To learn more, please contact us at recreation@tigard-or.gov or 503-718-2591.

Parks and Recreation Fee Increase
Effective May 1, 2019, the Parks & Recreation Fee will increase by $0.52 per month. This increase ensures the Recreation Program will continue. Customers will see increased programming this summer including additional events like concerts, pop ups, and movies in the park. More...
