    Our scholarship program (Guia para Becas) provides financial assistance to participants who live within city limits. Scholarships partially cover the cost of recreation program events or activities. Questions? View the flyer or contact recreation@tigard-or.gov or 503-718-2604.

Upcoming Park & Rec Programs


Park Passport Park Passport 2021 
Are you up for the challenge? Visit every park in Tigard to find clues and win a prize! Participate anytime between August 1 and October 31.

How to participate:

  1. PRINT a Passport Book or PICK UP a hard copy from Fanno Creek House (13335 SW Hall Blvd)
  2. SOLVE the puzzle by visiting each of the 18 parks listed in the Passport Book. At each park, look for a Park Passport sign with the corresponding clue. Add the word clue to your passport book. 

    SADLY, the Summerlake Park sign has been repeatedly stolen.
    Here is the answer: "Courts"
  3. WIN a prize by completing the puzzle. Scan or take a picture of your passport and submit to recreation@tigard-or.gov. If you prefer to submit a hard copy, you can do so at Fanno Creek House. Parks & Rec staff will notify you of prize pick-up!

    Bonus: All participants will be automatically entered into a raffle and have a chance to win a gift card from a local Tigard business. Raffle winners (10 total) will be notified on Nov 2.

Cómo participar:

  1. IMPRIMA un libro de pasaportes o recoja una copia impresa de Fanno Creek House (13335 SW Hall Blvd)
  2. RESUELVE el rompecabezas visitando cada uno de los 18 parques enumerados en el Libro de Pasaportes. En cada parque, busque un letrero de Pasaporte de Parque con la pista correspondiente. Agregue la palabra pista a su libro de pasaportes. 
  3. GANAR un premio completando el rompecabezas. Escanee o tome una foto de su pasaporte y envíela a recreation@tigard-or.gov. Si prefiere enviar una copia impresa, puede hacerlo en Fanno Creek House. ¡El personal de Parks &Rec le notificará de la recogida del premio!

Drop your kids off for some fun activities, games, and enjoy a movie and healthy snacks while adults have some time to themselves! Children must be toilet trained to participate.


Pumpkin Scavenger HuntPumpkin Scavenger Hunt
Begins October 1st

Fall aboard! It’s pumpkin hunting time! Join Parks & Rec for a Pumpkin Hunt around Cook Park. If you have any questions, contact Kaitlyn Leaf at 503-718-2604 or email at kaitlynl@tigard-or.gov

How to play:

  1. Use the clues below to help you find the hidden pumpkin signs at Cook Park in Tigard. (Oct 1-31)
  2. Take a picture/selfie with all 5 pumpkin signs in their hiding spots. REMEMBER DO NOT MOVE SIGNS.
  3. After you have taken selfies with all 5 pumpkins, submit them to recreation@tigard-or.gov for a chance to win a prize (1 prize bag per household).
    • Bonus! First 6 families to submit photos wins 1 free night of Kids’ Night Out.
  4. Have a gourd time!

Clues:

  • Where is Pumpkin 1 hiding? I am green but not grass. The pumpkin will be found in between the diamond mats.
  • Where is Pumpkin 2 hiding? I’m green and blue, I’m new and fun to play on too. 
  • Where is Pumpkin 3 hiding? I am something you sit on but can’t take with you. The pumpkin will be found where butterflies sit with you.  
  • Where is Pumpkin 4 hiding? Leaves upon the water are seen as you float, the pumpkin can be found where you leave the port.
  • Where is Pumpkin 5 hiding? What has a net but can’t fish? I have a basket to make a swish.

Your friends at Parks & Rec are hosting a Game Night! Bring your favorite game or just show up and play a new game we have. Versus Board Games has graciously offered to donate board games to add to the fun!

  • Special Event Sponsorship: Community and business support allows the city to produce events for the entire community to enjoy. By sponsoring special events your business will be able to maximize exposure to city residents and highlight your value to the community. View details.
  • Advertising: Tigard Parks & Rec produces three guides per year that have room to advertise. All guides are posted online and the summer and winter/spring guides are printed and distributed to many residential households. View details.
