Fitness Walk on Fanno Creek Trail
Fitness Walk: Dirksen to Englewood ParkAre you up for a New Year challenge? Parks & Rec is encouraging you to get outside and enjoy a walk or run along Fanno Creek Trail while also challenging yourself to complete our fitness stations. ¡Empiece bien al año nuevo! El departamento de Parques y Recreación los invita a que salgan afuera para disfrutar de una caminata o correr por Fanno Creek Trail y también los reta a completar las estaciones de ejercicio. 

  • Participate anytime between Jan 4-Feb 28
  • Fanno Creek Trail: starts at Dirksen Nature Park (11130 SW Tiedeman Ave), and finishes at Englewood Park (Scholls at Springwood) (one way is 1-mile, out and back is 2 miles).
  • Update: Increased rain may cause temporary flooding between stations 6 & 8. 

  • Pink dots represent:

    1. 50 Jumping Jacks
    2. 25 Squats
    3. 10 Lunges (each leg)
    4. 20 Frog Jumps
    5. 40 arm circles
    6. 20 calf raises
    7. 20 High Knees
    8. 20 Butt Kicks

It's Still the Giving Season
SnowflakeLooking to brighten up this time of the year for those less fortunate?
Parks & Rec is hosting a craft kit pick-up and drop-off to local senior living communities! Pick-up your craft kit today from Fanno Creek House (13335 SW Hall Blvd) and drop the completed craft back off at Fanno Creek House before January 31. The Recreation staff will then deliver the crafts/letters to local Senior Living Communities.

Sponsorship and Advertising Opportunities

  • Special Event Sponsorship: Community and business support allows the city to produce events for the entire community to enjoy. By sponsoring special events your business will be able to maximize exposure to city residents and highlight your value to the community. View details.
  • Advertising: Tigard Parks & Rec produces three guides per year that have room to advertise. All guides are posted online and the summer and winter/spring guides are printed and distributed to many residential households. View details.

Scholarships | Financial Assistance

Tigard Parks & Rec has a scholarship program (Guia para Becas) to provide financial assistance for qualified participants who reside within Tigard city limits.
