As part of our Hispanic Heritage Month celebration, we are supporting artists, business owners, restaurant owners, and other members Latino/Hispanic community.

Alex Villalobos is the artist behind the El Tigre logo, inspired by the "Pericos de Puebla" baseball team uniform from Mexico circa 1942. Our Tigard Tiger or “El Tigre” combines traditional Latino Folk Art and animal characteristics of “Alebrijes." Learn more about the history of Alebrijes in Oaxacan and Mexican culture in this video. 

Alex is a first-generation, Mexican-American artist from Long Beach, California. He creates digital art and mixed media pieces using repurposed materials. Ivan Hernandez 

Ivan Hernandez is the son of Rosa and Ramon Hernandez. He is the Director of Community Development with the Hillsboro Hops. He has led the Latinx marketing for the Hops through the Soñadores de Hillsboro brand. During his time off, Ivan likes to spend time outdoors or with his family. Ivan has been public speaking since elementary school in Mexico, directing civic ceremonies. Fast forward 20 plus years later, Ivan has emceed the some of the largest cultural festivals in Oregon and SW Washington. He has also done announcing for Timbers2, Portland Thorns, Portland Trail Blazers, as well as numerous formal events.

John Lares is a talent buyer, agent, and concert producer with 10+ years of experience. John started Cielo Talent Agency in 2015 and has produced many independent festivals.

John has now joined forces with Atomic Music Group who represent a diverse roster of over 400+ artists in North America. In his career thus far, Mr. Lares has represented nearly 100 artists from the United States + México, primarily in the indie, rock, and latin genres.
