Project Description
This project will improve the existing water distribution system’s ability to serve the western portions of the water service area, allowing for future development (River Terrace). The work includes installing about 900 feet of 24-inch water distribution pipe in SW 121st Ave. from Fonner Street to Tippit Place, a pressure-reducing valve assembly, and associated appurtenances. This project will be implemented jointly with CIP 95050, which will provide stormwater and transportation improvements.
WHY IT’S NEEDED: Completing the waterline work simultaneously with the stormwater and transportation work along SW 121st Ave. provides a cost-effective and safe means to allow the water distribution system to serve current and future development in western Tigard.
STRATEGIC PLAN TIE-IN: This project protects core services, provides system efficiency, and protects community health.
