National Prescription Drug Take Back Day
Drive by and drop off unwanted and expired prescription and over-the-counter medications at the National Drug Take Back Day event on Saturday, October 26th.
The Tigard Police Department is hosting this event to make it easier for residents to safely discard medications to keep them out of our waterways and prevent their misuse and abuse. Thanks to our friends from Tigard High's Tigard Turns the Tide for their partnership on this event!
We're collecting new, full size hygiene items for TTSD students in need. Please consider donating:
- Shampoo & Conditioner
- Toothpaste
- Deodorant
- Feminine hygiene products
- Socks
Event details:
- Date/Time: Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
- Location: Tigard Police Department, 13125 SW Hall Boulevard
- This service is free and anonymous.
- Drugs turned in will be securely incinerated.
- Pills and solid medicines
- Liquid medicines in tightly sealed original containers
- Over the counter medicines
- We recommend removing personal information with permanent marker
NOT Accepted Items:
- NO needles, syringes, EpiPens or sharps
- NO insulin or injectable medicines
- NO medical waste, chemo drugs or medications from nursing homes or businesses
- NO vaping or combustible products
- NO illicit or illegal substances
