Unmask Alice Author Rick Emerson

Burgess Community Room | Adults

Published in 1971, the book Go Ask Alice presented itself as an authentic diary of a teenage girl’s descent into addiction. It had a massive effect on the culture and continues to be read today. But how real is Alice? Who was the person who found this “diary,” and what were they hiding? Local author Rick Emerson spent years researching these questions and comes to the Tigard Public Library to share Alice’s secrets!

Program presented in partnership with Friends of the Tigard Library.
