Tigard Public Library

Inside the Library

The Tigard Library building opened its current location in 2004. The library is located on a 14.7-acres site, with nine acres preserved in its natural state, along the banks of Fanno Creek.

Special features include a drive-up book drop, a large Children's Room with child-sized furniture and program room, three quiet study rooms and a separate young adult area with eight computers. The library has over 230,000 items, including books, movies, music and more. In addition, there are more than 70 computers available for public use. The library offers an automated system that allows items to be checked in quicker and more efficiently.

Home Improvements

Posted 2/27/19
Notice anything new at the library? Something that isn’t on the shelves. We’ve spiffed things up a little.

Not really a facelift but a touch-up. The World Languages collection, which moved up to the second floor a few months ago, has come out of the dark with bright lighting.

Some of our newly refinished furniture has gotten new life, including the benches in the lobby and several tables on both floors. Notice anything new at the Circ Desk? While you’re standing in line to check out your books, you now have a nice counter that matches the Circ Desk to set them down. Stay tuned for more improvements. Our goal is to ensure that the library continues to be a warm, welcoming place for you.

Welcome. Have a seat!
