Getting Around

According to the US Environmental Protection Agency, "In 2012 greenhouse gas emissions from transportation accounted for about 28% of total U.S. greenhouse gas emissions, making it the second largest contributor, behind electricity."

The City of Tigard is working to make it easier and more and more attractive to get around the city on foot. Tigard is served by bus lines and the WES commuter rail. Be sure to explore the Fanno Creek Trail and biking in Tigard.

All intersections are crosswalks
Now Showing...
With an increasing number of pedestrians on our roads (yeah!) the city filmed a Public Service Announcement (PSA) about crosswalks called “Every intersection is a crosswalk”. Here’s a link to the PSA that’s playing on kiosks in Washington Square, Bridgeport Village and on public television.
