SW McDonald Street Traffic Alert
On Monday, May 7, the city's contractor began
replacing stormwater pipelines along SW McDonald Street in Tigard. During construction, traffic
on McDonald Street will be reduced to a single lane between 103rd and 104th Avenues.
Lane closures will take place weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Friday, May 18.
Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to take alternate routes.
SW McDonald Street connects Pacific Highway (99W) and SW Hall Boulevard. More than 10,000
vehicles per day travel this roadway.

Summer Creek Park Master Plan
The city is moving forward with the master planning process for one of its newest community parks—the
Summer Creek park property. This meeting is planned for Thursday, May 17 at the
Tigard Public Works Building. The public is invited to share their ideas for the park.

Passport Services at City Hall
Passport acceptance walk-in hours at the Utility Billing counter are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from
9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Application forms are available in the Tigard City Hall lobby.

This year, National Police Week is May 13th through the 19th. During that week, one day is
identified as Peace Officers Memorial Day. In keeping with local tradition, a service
to honor fallen law enforcement officers will be conducted on Friday, May 18th at the
Hillsboro Civic Center located 150 E. Main St. in Hillsboro.

closer to adoption by approving the Proposed Budget with some changes.

A man called 9-1-1 at 11:12 a.m. on Tuesday to allege being stabbed along with another man.
The victim advised police that the incident occurred near a bus shelter at the corner of
Pacific Highway and Walnut Place in Tigard.

In March, Clean Water Services and its partner Cities conducted an online survey of nearly 1,700
ratepayers to gather input on public values, perceptions and service expectations of the region’s
storm and surface water management program. The survey will help the District and its member Cities improve services and

The Tigard Police Department will once again participate in a nationwide traffic safety
campaign to enforce Oregon seat belt laws. The program is set to begin on May 21st and
continue to June 3rd.

The Commercial Crimes Unit within the Tigard Police Department is currently investigating an Organized Retail Theft
which occurred at the Nordstrom’s store at Washington Square Mall in Tigard. Tigard Police were called to the store just
after noon on April 17, 2012 on reports of two men stealing armloads of merchandise.
